"They haven't been able to collect enough boxes in the 30 years they've been doing this".
It's a time to give to those less fortunate, even if you've never met them. This year, more than 3,800 boxes were distributed locally.
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities about God's love.
The gifts may be chosen for male or female and in three age ranges: 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14. "So, they learn lots about the world around them, but themselves as well", said Block.
It was a tower of shoeboxes at Jack Kemp Community School as students helped out with Operation Christmas Child.
"We as adults, we can understand that these boxes go somewhere and they impact other children", said Kimmel. "A number of members from our church have received replies in letter form from some of the children thanking us for sending the shoe boxes". It's just such an outreach.
Parker-Moore said the true goal of Operation Christmas Child is to spread and demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ in a way that kids around the world, regardless of religion, age or language, can understand.Читайте также: OnePlus 5T Pictures And Full Specs Leak Ahead Of Next Week's Unveil
Not only are the recipients benefitting from the gifts, but the gift-givers are as well.

Last spring, Klosterbuer accompanied a delivery of Operation Christmas Child boxes to Togo.
Each shoe box is filled with toys and some essentials like bars of soap and toothbrushes.
"She was so happy because she could now use her money for food", Klosterbuer said.
The boys were taught a simple game of catch. It will still get to the child this season! "They tell me it has brightened their days". "I start acquiring items nearly immediately after the last round of boxes are packed and just keep collecting all year long". "I'm assuming it's refugee camps or war-torn countries, but I do not know".
November 14: 4 p.m. -6 p.m. "For some little ones, this will be the only box they get the entire year". The children alone in Africa is over four million that would receive boxes of this sort.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
