Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock encouraged his girlfriend Marilou Danley to leave the country before his attack that left 58 people dead, her sisters told CNN affiliate in Australia 7 News.

"I called her up immediately and she said, 'Relax, we shouldn't worry about it".

Nineteen more guns were found at his home in Mesquite, about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, and seven at his house in Reno.

Paddock, who killed himself moments before police stormed the hotel suite he had transformed into a sniper's nest on Sunday night, left no clear clues about why he staged his attack on an outdoor concert below the high-rise building.

He is believed to have killed himself as armed police closed in and stormed the hotel room from which he committed the deadliest shooting in modern United States history.

In the hours after 59 people were killed in the worst mass shooting in modern USA history, Las Vegas Metro police identified 62-year-old Marilou Danley as the person of interest in the shooting. She flew from Manila to Hong Kong on September 22 and returned to Manila on September 25 before flying to Los Angeles Tuesday.

Mendoza, who is the supervisor at the Starbucks, told the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday that the abuse "happened a lot".

USA reports say that on top of his divorce proceedings, Stephen Paddock had a gambling problem.

Sherriff Lombardo also confirmed Ms Danley was a person of interest in the investigation.

However, with the RBNZ tipped to keep rates on hold at a record low 1.75 per cent there may be little reaction in the dollar. Geopolitical tensions on the Korean peninsula and domestic political uncertainty also continued to weigh on the kiwi.

Former neighbors of Stephen Paddock didn't remember him ever talking about guns, but did notice his gambling.

Danley in February 2015 filed a joint petition for divorce with her now ex-husband, whose surname she has kept, court records show.

Ms Danley, who moved from the Philippines to Queensland in the 1980s, is a potential key figure in discovering Paddock's motive.

"She didn't even know that she was going to the Philippines until Steve said, "Marilou I found you a cheap ticket to the Philippines".

Danley, the gunman's girlfriend, entered the Philippines September 15 and again on September 25, traveling on her Australian passport, said Maria Antoinette Mangrobang, spokeswoman for the Bureau of Immigration in the Philippines.

The claims come after Danley returned to the USA from the Philippines on Wednesday on an order from police as the search for answers to America's deadliest mass shooting in modern history continues.

No motive has emerged yet for the deadly shooting spree by Paddock, a wealthy, 64-year-old retired accountant who liked to gamble for high stakes and owned a comfortable home at a golf course retirement community near Las Vegas. The sheriff said the authorities are expecting some information from the woman.

Danley had lived in Mesquite, Nevada, with Paddock. Stanton said Lombard is expected to put out a statement later Wednesday.

He said the family did not plan to hold a funeral for his brother, who was not religious, saying it could attract unwanted attention.
