Heidi Gardner, Luke Null and Chris Redd will be making their way to the Big Apple after making their way through the notoriously hard casting process for the show, headed up by creator and head producer Lorne Michaels.

The new featured players for the 43rd season, which kicks off this weekend, are Chris Redd, Heidi Gardner and Luke Null.

With Bobby Moynihan, Vanessa Bayer and Sasheer Zamata all having left the show, Saturday Night Live announced today that they have added three new cast members for the upcoming season.

Redd appeared in Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping and the Netflix series Disjointed, which is still waiting on word of a second season.

Redd is certainly the most well-known of anyone in the new crop.

Null is a fresher face who has been seen on the iO stage with the team Artemis and also appeared in the Annoyance Theatre's 2016 show "The Dead Boy Scout Musical".

Gardner has been a member of the Groundlings, a longtime source of SNL hires, while also contributing to Crackle's Bryan Cranston-produced animated comedy SuperMansion. Gardner is set to play a role opposite of SNL guest star Melissa McCarthy, who recently won an Emmy for her portrayal of former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer. Null is a musical comedian and improviser hailing from iO Chicago. Check out the season premiere promo below!

Null is a Chicago-based comedian who has been improvising, writing and performing in sketches at the iO Theater.

This season of Saturday Night Live should be an interesting one, especially with future hosts Gal Gadot and Kumail Nanjiani already signed up to host the two episodes in early October following the season premiere at the end of the month.
