Here's a bit of a good news for video game fanatics: The discontinued Nintendo mini-console is coming back. Released in November 2016, this nostalgia fueled gaming box quickly developed into one of the most sought after products during the Christmas period.

The Classic Edition includes 30 games like "Super Mario Bros." and "The Legend of Zelda".

In order to meet the insatiable demand for the SNES Classic Edition, Nintendo announced this week that it will ship the retro console into 2018 rather than ceasing shipments at the end of the year, as was previously the plan. This resulted in a huge price spike on platforms like eBay and Amazon, as players were forced to turn to third party distributors to get their hands on the console.

"Throughout April, [Nintendo of America] territories will receive the last shipments of Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition systems for this year". The console is expected to sell out just as quickly as it did when it was released on the same date previous year, but Best Buy is now taking pre-orders of the SNES. The company has also announced that it is increasing the shipments of the upcoming Super NES Classic Edition, which is set to begin shipping on september 29. The Switch is performing well so far, with over five million units sold world wide, but finding a brand new version is proving no easy feat.
