Woods, now 70, took to Twitter to criticize the relationship at the heart of Armie Hammer's new, critically-acclaimed film Call Me By Your Name.

The actor was referring to Woods having dated Ashley Madison when she was 19, before moving on to Kristen Bauguess, who was 20 when he began dating her at the age of 66.

At a press conference for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) screening of Call Me By Your Name, actor Armie Hammer said that he nearly turned down the role. "But now that the attempted grabbed pussy is out of the bag I'd say he'll block me any minute now".

Woods hit back at The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants actress, dismissing her recollection as "a lie", but Tamblyn is refusing to back down, responding to the denial by quipping, "Life comes at you fast, James". He eventually accused Tamblyn of lying in response to someone else's tweet.

Woods added that he likes Hammer "as an actor" and doesn't "pay any attention really" when the "libs are yelping".

This past Monday, Woods made a controversial comment via Twitter about a film featuring a relationship between two gay men - one 17 and one 24.

Again, the actor did not respond directly to the allegations, but did respond to a question by someone on Twitter.

"Didn't you date a 19-year-old when you were 60.?" She alleged Woods defamed her by sharing and commenting on a tweet that wrongly identified her as a woman who gave what looked like a "Nazi" salute at a 2016 Donald Trump campaign rally.
