SEC match-up highlights the Saturday slate - as MI takes on Florida in a neutral site showdown at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.

Kickoff for the game is 3:30 p.m. ET. With that comes the first edition of our weekly staff predictions article. By then, Florida had 46 yards and 17 focuses. That puts the pressure squarely on MI to beat the short-handed Gators. That's just the approach we have to look forward.

Is he Michigan's No. 1 receiver? Speight beat out John O'Korn and Brandon Peters to earn the starting job.

Florida has had the same identity for roughly ten years now. The Wolverines probably won't see a ranked team again until an October 21 visit to Penn State, and that leaves plenty of time to tidy things up.

Anthony Riddle, who is from Jackson, Michigan, shared in the letter some of the experiences of training and combat that he and his fellow young Marines went through.

"This win was a good start for the season for us, build our confidence, allow us to see what we're capable of", sophomore linebacker Devin Bush said. What's more, the Wolverines drove and saw a tremendous effort from kicker Quinn Nordin, who nailed two field goals from 50-or-more yards. Zaire's 6.2 yards per attempt fell short of Franks's 8.3, and he was sacked four times in the final 15 minutes, including on the first and last plays of the quarter. "People make a lot of a big deal about our roster or not announcing a starting quarterback". MI will be debuting many players who will be making the first starts of their career on the big stage against a quality opponent. "I think mature competitors that have been in situations like this before handle this a lot better than young players", he said. Most notably, offensive weapons Antonio Callaway and Jordan Scarlett.

It's way too early to write Florida off.

MI left a lot of points on the board today but still ended up cruising to a win. The Wolverines were supposed to take care of suspended-laden Florida.

Brathwaite falls but Windies still have Hope in thrilling second Test
Brathwaite's 180-ball innings, including 12 fours, meant the opener had batted for more than 10 hours in the match. Appropriately, it was Hope who struck the winning runs with a legside flick for two off Chris Woakes.

On Paper this is a game that could go either way. It would be worth knowing to find out how Harbaugh will be making this team a competitive one despite some of the big names had left. Speight was 5-of-7 for 52 during the drive and gave MI a 20-17 lead.

Defensive coordinator Don Brown will have to replace 10 starters from a unit which ranked in the top five nationally of nearly every major category but will still boast one of the nation's most feared defensive lines, headlined by Gary and potential National Football League first-round pick Maurice Hurst. The Gators didn't take advantage when Eddy Pineiro missed a 47-yard field goal. The team lost seven starters on offense and 10 on defense. And that play was made by Cleveland skying for the football.

At a certain point in the second quarter, Maurice Hurst kept running from his protective handle spot into the space to pursue down and stop a recipient screen. Defensive end Cece Jefferson said he wants to forget it.

The concern for Florida is whether the suspensions will affect the Gators emotionally, which could affect performance. The conditioning of the MI players was a huge factor.

MI earned its first BCS Bowl berth and seemed headed toward a program revival with a 23-20 overtime win against Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl in January 2012.

The Florida Gators and Michigan Wolverines got their season started in a big way down in Arlington at the AT&T Stadium and while it was a back and forth game in the first half, the Wolverines dominated the second half. No, Harbaugh won't let this team fade out of the playoff picture. Most feel MI will finish third-again. I like the Wolverines chances against Florida and here's why. Their absences were obvious considering that Florida's offense was inconsistent, impotent and darn-near invisible. "Really, really proud of them". I tend to think that scoring opportunities will be at a premium in this game.

MI came tantalizingly close to making the college football playoff last season. The Wolverines win 29-17. Sure, one game doesn't make a season, but the MI defense looked awfully good this afternoon against the Gators. They held the Gators to a total of 11 yards on 27 rushes.
