Micromax unveils Canvas Infinity with 18:9 aspect ratio

This phone comes for Rs. 9999 and will be available from Amazon.in starting September 1. "Canvas Infinity" is available on Amazon.in and the registration to purchase the device began on Tuesday.

The smartphone sports 5.77-inch HD screen of 1440 x 720 pixels resolution in 18:9 ratio for enhanced viewing experience and expanded horizontal view to accommodate more content. The smartphone comes with 83% screen to body ratio.

On the other specifications front, this phone gets its power from 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with Adreno 308 GPU.

The Canvas Infinity boasts a 16-megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

However, there were disagreements on whether CarOS should be programmed using Apple's programming language Swift or with C++. Instead of building its own, Apple has resolved to simply build tech to facilitate autonomy in auto makers' machines.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Global Positioning System. The highlight is, the Micromax Canvas Infinity, the company's first phone with nearly bezel less display, comes at one fifth of similar phones available in the market.

In terms of connectivity, the Micromax Canvas Infinity is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts two micro SIM cards using a dedicated dual micro-SIM slots.

Micromax Canvas Infinity phone is featured with 5.5 inches 18:9 display. The company also said buyers will be eligible for a fix or replace within 24-hours at Micromax Express Service centers. "With Micromax Canvas Infinity, we are focusing on bringing the best in class display experience with an all-rounder device that packs in the best of everything". The smartphone comes with 24 hour replacement and fix warranty through Micromax Express service centres wherein for any manufacturing defects the device shall either be repaired of replaced within 24 hours. The device features onscreen navigation buttons and a rear-mounted fingerprint identification sensor, located just middle of the rear panel of the handset. In the last couple of months, we have launched smartphones with Dual cameras, 4000 mAh battery, compelling security features and more, to provide solutions to consumers who use their smartphones as a life hack. On the front, it has 16 megapixels camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 81.5-degree FOV, 5P lens and 1080p video recording. They've also touted this as a gaming device, but with a Snapdragon 425, it may not go far in that department.
