The Wales global has been linked with a potential switch to Old Trafford from the Champions League holders in the current transfer window.

Inter Milan's sporting director Piero Ausilio has rubbished speculation surrounding Perisic and Antonio Candreva, who has been linked to Chelsea.

"Candreva has never been on the market and we have absolutely no intention of selling him". "And the same goes for Perisic".

"The same goes for Perisic, who is an important player and we are now discussing a new contract with him", he was quoted as saying via Daily Mail.

According to Conte, he's the dream centre forward. "If [Spurs] don't win the title, it's not a tragedy", said Conte. If they go out in the first round of the Champions League, it's not a tragedy.

"When we signed Paul Pogba, I said he was not expensive", Mourinho said after United's 2-1 friendly win over Sampdoria on Wednesday. But the delay over the move highlights the struggles Mourinho's side have encountered getting deals over the line this summer. We have important players injured for a long time and they will be back by the end of the year, so our squad is not so big.

Mourinho is keen on adding a speedy, skilful player to his ranks and has identified Perisic as the player who fits the bill.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is still hoping to secure a fourth signing before the transfer window shuts on August 31. The England global was heavily criticised by his manager last season for his lack of fitness and application but those fears are understood to have been dampened during an impressive pre-season. Instead they were only able to name one new face, Lindelof, in their squad before Lukaku joined up after they arrived in the US.
