Venus Williams Was Allegedly Involved In A Deadly Car Crash

Tennis phenom Venus Williams was at fault in a fatal vehicle crash near her home in Palm Beach Gardens, according to a police report. Police blamed her in an incident report obtained by TMZ.

Barson's wife reportedly told police she T-boned Williams' SUV traveling westbound in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., after the athlete abruptly entered an intersection northbound.

Jerome Barson was a passenger in a vehicle that struck Williams' SUV, which was blocking an intersection in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., on June 9, according to TMZ.

"Many vehicular manslaughter cases involve allegations that the drivers was intoxicated".

Police reports seen by U.S. website TMZ said five-time Wimbledon champ Venus "violated" Linda's right of way in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Williams has a residence in Palm Beach Gardens, where she also often trains. His wife reportedly suffered broken bones and other injuries, but survived. "Her husband of 35 years was struck by Venus Williams, who was at fault in a auto accident, which ultimately resulted in Mr. Barson being hospitalized 14 days with multiple surgeries which resulted in his death".

He would not say if police were probing Williams or whether the family would be looking for compensation.
