Swansong: Aston Martin's Vantage AMR

Available as either coupe or roadster, both the Vantage V8 and V12 get the AMR treatment, with the former carrying over its 316kW 4.7-litre V8 unchanged.

The Aston Martin Vantage name is synonymous with extreme performance.

Both engines are fitted with automated sequential manual paddle-shift transmissions, or for the purist, six and seven-speed manual gearboxes in the V8 and V12 Vantage AMRs respectively. Hence, it is not surprising that the company has chosen Vantage model as the first AMR model to enter production.

British luxury vehicle maker Aston Martin announced the launch of AMR, a sub-brand laced with race-inspired dynamism and performance, earlier this year. Materials used include leather, alcantara and carbon fibre.

The latter was already a factor in the development of new products, but the creations from Aston Martin Racing are expected to take things up by a few notches.

Production is going to be limited to 300 cars, with 100 of them getting the V12 engine upgraded by 30 horsepower to 595 hp whereas the other 200 units will feature the smaller V8 rated at 430 hp.

Four attractive exterior schemes are available for the Vantage AMR.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Standalone Release Date and Price Announced
Modern Warfare had some memorable missions, such as "All Ghillied Up", "Charlie Don't Surf", and "Crew Expendable". The other platforms should see releases in the near future.

The vehicle can also be specified with forged aluminium wheels that take their honeycomb design from the Vantage AMR Pro concept seen at the Geneva motor show last March.

There's a range of exterior colour options, but each of them is twinned with its own distinct interior design scheme.

Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer said of the Vantage AMR: "The Vantage has been an incredible success for Aston Martin, both in V8 and V12 forms".

For the car's wheels - fivespoke items on the V8 auto and 10-spoke ones on the V12 - there's a selection of three different finishes.

"As our most agile and athletic road vehicle, and our long-time representative in the world of GT racing, it is the ideal model with which to introduce the exciting AMR range".

The last quarter of 2017 is the penned-in commencement date for deliveries for the Vantage AMR, with the V8 to be available in UK, EU, Asia Pacific and China, and the V12 to be available in UK, EU, Asia Pacific, China and Middle East.

On sale in the fourth quarter of 2017 pricing in the United Kingdom for the V8 AMR begins at £97,995 (A$165,000).
