Oklahoma junior Paige Parker, a three-time Big 12 Pitcher of the Year, has not lost at the WCWS in her college career.

OR took a 2-0 lead on Danica Mercado's two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning, but 10th-seeded Oklahoma's potent lineup exploded for four runs in the bottom half of the inning. The play paid off as sophomore Shay Knighten came up next and blooped the first pitch she saw beyond first base to bring home both runners and put Oklahoma on top 3-2. "On this stage, 10,000 people watching - it's what you dream of from the time you're a little girl".

"Anybody that followed us throughout the postseason knows this team doesn't quit", said Baylor coach Glenn Moore. They're a gritty bunch with a lot of talent.

Oklahoma did rebound to win four-straight games to win that regional, before defeating Auburn in the Super Regionals, and then going 3-0 in the WCWS, outscoring the opposition, 13-6. Shelby Friudenberg muscled a single up the middle, allowing Walker to score from second to bring the Lady Bears within one, trailing 5-4.

OR was leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth when the third-seeded Ducks began to unravel.

Monday's meeting will mark the first between the two squads since Walton took over at Florida ahead of the 2006 season. "I threw three riseballs to her in a row".

"I think adrenaline just kicks in and just trying to hit my spot", she said.

Baylor concludes its 2017 season with four seniors, Riley Browder, Lindsey Cargill, Ari Hawkins, and Kelsee Selman, closing out their careers as Lady Bears.

UO's Megan Kleist allowed one more run and was relived by Miranda Elish, who got the third out to end the inning. It is their fifth title appearance in the last nine years. “It worked. All I wanted to do was just put the ball in play, come into the right side, and just give my team a chance to score.”. They are relaxed, they're playing their best softball, they're having a blast.

OR defeated Baylor earlier this afternoon to stay alive and advance to this game of the WCWS.

Making her first start since throwing a pair of no-hitters two weeks ago in the Waco regional, Rodoni (18-4) gave up a pair of runs in both the second and third innings. Paige Lowary came on to finish the game for the Sooners and pitched two ideal frames. Lindvall reached on a fielder's choice before Lilley banged a run-scoring double off the right-field wall.

"I find it pretty awesome", Gasso said.
