Although it was originally scheduled to come out in the spring of this year and then became delayed until summer 2017, Sega has now finally confirmed the exact release date for its forthcoming 2D retro Sonic the Hedgehog game, Sonic Mania, as August 15, 2017. It is a throwback to classic Sonic, but with 60 FPS gameplay and improved physics.
The game will let players take the role of Sonic, Knuckles or Tails as they pursue Dr. Eggman.
