Sridevi refused to play Sivagami in Bahubali

In Baahubali: The Beginning, where Sivagami saved Mahendra Baahubali from drowning, and the scene in the climax, she was one of the powerful characters ever written in Indian cinema. If she would have accepted the role, she would have got more name in both the parts. Nonetheless, that did not happen, and Ram Gopal Varma also feels it was her one of the biggest mistakes to say no to such a project. She played the role of "Raj Mata" Sivagami in the franchise and is the major reason for the film's story line and plot development.

SS Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali 2 has achieved a rare feat as it has reportedly collected Rs 1,000 crore and created history at the box office. One of the actors of the film that has been receiving accolades for her performance is Ramya Krishnan.
