"We plan to disrupt the market with a unique offering", Francois Mathieu, BlackBerry EMEA manager, told press and analysts.

In the USA, the BlackBerry KEYone GSM as well as CDMA variants will be available unlocked from May 31 onwards.

The Blackberry KEYone sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset and an Adreno 506 GPU. Are you interested in the BlackBerry KEYone? Sure, it runs Android 7.1 Nougat and it's got a touchscreen, but it's still got a bunch of BlackBerry software, and again, that keyboard. The smartphone will go on sale starting May 31 in the United States and Canada, while the pre-orders will begin from May 18. It also possesses some new features like a new shortcut assigned to every key of the given keyboard. TCL said its first smartphone for BlackBerry would focus on three key features: security, productivity and reliability.

BlackBerry launched the KEYone smartphone today (April 27) at Selfridges in London.

U.S. Commander for Korea Warns of Growing Nuclear Threat
The United States and South Korea agreed past year to deploy the system to counter the threat of missile launches by North Korea. President Donald Trump's secretary of state, defence secretary, top general and national intelligence director will brief them.

The BlackBerry KEYone, first revealed at Mobile World Congress back in February, is certainly interesting as far as Android devices go.

I also liked numerous features that make the KEYone a BlackBerry, including the Convenience button located on the right side and the 52 programmable buttons. The inclusion of Android on board is great (as has been the case for BlackBerry's smartphones for quite some time now), but, still, that physical keyboard just isn't something I'm looking for these days. It is backed by a 3,505mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. This BlackBerry security application monitors your other apps, alerting you if one is accessing your camera to take a picture or video, turning your microphone on, sending a text message, accessing your contacts or location.

The BlackBerry KEYone will be on-sale in Canada and the US starting on May 31, 2017. There is an 8-megapixel front facing camera with a wide-angle lens and a flash module.

The one problem with the Keyone right now is that the $549 price tag might be too steep for some users.
