Lt. Bryan Witt of the DPS said the three were chasing a tornado in Dickens County, Texas.

Mr Williamson and Mr Yarnall were Weather Channel contractors, and had their own show called Storm Chasers.

The 1996 blockbuster film was based partly on the pioneering VORTEX projects of 1994 and 1995 that gathered data on supercells (the powerful and long-lasting thunderstorms sometimes associated with tornadoes) and gave a lift to the National Weather Service's tornado-warning system, according to OurAmazingPlanet.

Just two weeks ago, Kelley Williamson was outside our TV station, talking about the danger of storm chasing.

"It's just kind of surreal.you just can't believe you're here one minute and gone the next.literally", said 2 Works for You Storm Chaser Derek Masingale.

"We are saddened by this loss and our deepest sympathies go out to the families and loved ones of all involved", the Weather Channel said in a statement.

The identities of the storm chasers were not immediately available.

Jim Ross Returning At WrestleMania 33 As A Guest Announcer?
Ross made a decision to keep his scheduled appearances in Orlando for WrestleMania weekend, and this could be one reason why. Pro Wrestling Sheet is now reporting he is also set to appear at one event he wasn't even promoted for: WrestleMania 33 .

"People ask what we do, well, we track weather, tornadoes for the Weather Channel you know", Williamson told Lighty.

The more limited threat will be for the rest of the state, but once again, all of Alabama is highlighted in some sort of severe weather risk for today and tonight, so we all must be weather aware.

Bad weather is expected to make its way through East Mississippi Thursday. "You know, you've got to watch out for everybody out there, and then the storms come secondary". All three were killed on impact.

Severe thunderstorms and damaging winds hit parts of Texas overnight, leaving as many as 200,000 people in the Dallas/Fort Worth area without power at one point.

To protect against lightening, get inside an enclosed structure and stay away from windows, electrical devices and plumbing, Skow said. After that, he became infatuated by weather phenomena, following storms from his home in Cassville, Missouri, down as far as the Gulf of Mexico.

"We had plans for him to visit so I could teach him some photography skills", said Wade. "It's a ton of people distracted driving, paying attention to dozens of other things and not the road". "Usually around this time of year I would be scoping through your post, jealous of all the handsome storms you capture".

When Williamson was not out chasing storms, he raised chickens at a farm in Cassville. An outdoor siren should not be on that list because they were meant to alert those outside to take cover and often can't be heard inside, Rodrigue said. They were there to pay their respects at an anniversary to remember the victims. Wade and Williamson were the best of friends. Wade said of his friend that he would "still be at my wedding in spirit".
