Stop What You're Doing and Play Ms. Pac-Man in Google Maps

People can play the Ms Pac-Man game while they are strolling on the pavement or just for this sheer heck of it. Or, go to Google Maps on your desktop browser. This year it's turning Google Maps into a game of Ms. Pac-Man.

Keep an eye out for it, because the smartphone app will now let you play the arcade classic on your smartphone - but only for April Fools' Day. You can't turn your current coordinates into a spot in the game. What are some of the other video games or gaming franchises that you would like to see Google work on as an Easter egg in the future?

Marking this year's jokester-friendly April 1, Google has set things so Google Maps can go all 1980s with "Ms. Pac-Man". Then, the roads around you are converted into a Pac-Man level filled with pills and ghosts. To be more accurate, Google has injected a dose of Ms. Pac-Man into Maps.

April Fools' Day is a good time to stay off the internet. It now just puts a random location from any part of the world. Besides, after last year's Mic Drop debacle, perhaps they're going to play it a little safer this year.

It's the equivalent of Google Home and tells users the weather, what plants are edible and reminds humanity that we're all destined to become compost. Pac-Man Mania first started with the release of the original Pac-Man way back in 1980 and with it being nearly an instant hit, it wasn't long before Ms. Pac-Man was released in 1981.
