Various cheeses recalled due to listeria concerns

In a newly released statement, Sargento said that it ordered the recall after a supplier in IN notified it that its Longhorn Colby cheese might have been contaminated.

Meijer said to date there have been no known illnesses reported from the recalled products.

The affected products include Sliced Pepper Jack Cheese, Sliced Colby-Jack Cheese, Chef Blends Shredded Taco Cheese, Off The Block Shredded Fine Cut Cheddar Jack Cheese, and Off The Block Shredded Fine Cut Colby-Jack Cheese.

And Taylor Farms, which uses Sargento products to make its salads, has recalled 6,630 pounds of pork and chicken salads, according to CNN.

Sargento packaged the cheese in question at its plant in Plymouth, Wisconsin.
